Evangelical teens rally in S.F.

An interesting article on how some believers are dealing with culture. I can't say that I agree, but see for yourself.

Jason's Music

I've known Jason Silver for a long time. His wife Joanne and my wife are cousins. Like me, he has worked in a few churches and has the scars to prove it. He now lives in Hamilton, and, amoung other things, writes a lot of music. You can click on the arrow to listen to a bit of it. or go to his site, Crooked Bush (that is not a political statement, although, perhaps, it could be).

A Powerful Preacher Who Tries to Deflect Public Acclaim - New York Times

John Stott is one of those people that one could/should aspire to emulate. He has devoted his life to Jesus, and does not make a big deal of it, although there certainly could be much fanfare around him. He is still going hard at age 84, and sees where he can best be used by God; in the developing countries where Christianity is taking off. Thank you for your example, John Stott.

I thought this was pretty funny. Who knew Larry and Bono could act? All in all, I'd give it a "B".

grrrl meets world: Our own Muhammad cartoon controversy

Here's a take on the Jesus cartoon that, I have to admit, I hadn't thought of. The message they were attempting to get across in the cartoon is true, even though their method may not be acceptable. Thanks, Becky.grrrl meets world: Our own Muhammad cartoon controversy

The Sheaf - University of Saskatchewan Student Newspaper - Freedom from responsibility?

The Sheaf - University of Saskatchewan Student Newspaper - Freedom from responsibility?

This piece is The Sheaf's response to the Muslim cartoons that were published last fall. Seems like they should have read their own paper before the Jesus cartoons got out. Interesting.

Sheaf Editor Resigns Over Cartoon Publication

The cartoon publiched last week on "the Sheaf", portrayed Jesus having 'relations' with a pig. Obviously there has been a HUGE stink about this, as there should be. Especially considering that the same paper refused to publish the Danish cartoons refering to Muslims. I just don't get it.

Oh how the Mighty have Fallen

Don't get me wrong...I still love Eddie. He was the guy who brought me true rock and roll at a time when I was still listening to the Imperials. That's why the pics in this link are sad. He was the guitar god of a generation, but the band (Van Halen) hasn't put out anything in years, and the future doesn't look promising.
